Players can use the touch screen to participate in activities that increase a Pokemon’s base stats and “underlying values” that defines it HP, Attack, Defense, Sp. Super Training allows players to train their Pokemon while they’re not in battle. Distribution for this Pokemon, who will also have the hidden ability Speed Boost, will begin on October 12 and run for a limited period. To obtain a Torchic holding a Blazikenite Mega Stone, players will need to participate in a special limited-time Wi-Fi distribution event. Some Mega Stones, like Blazikenite, can not be obtained during normal gameplay.
You’ll find these stones hidden throughout the Kalos region. The Lucarionite Mega Stone, for example, will help Lucario Mega Evolve. To Mega Evolve, you’ll need a Mega Stone. Once the battle ends, the Pokemon returns to its regular state. This type of evolution is only available to certain Pokemon under certain conditions and only occurs during battle. Some Pokemon who Mega Evolve might change their ability type during battle. Mega Evolutions like Mega Mewtwo and Mega Lucario will see their appearance change and stats increase.
